About

My name is Régine and I’m a DIYer, designer, maker and blogger.

RAD Home & Interiors is a blog about making a house a home through decor, DIYs, design, renovation and occasionally cooking. I started this blog in 2015 as The 256 Project – a nod to the first house we bought – as a way to express my creativity and passion for all things interiors. For more than 10 years, I have been interviewing home experts about design and art, sharing DIY projects and design and renovation updates on our own home, and occasionally share recipes I’ve attempted to recreate from my Haitian grandmother’s scripted notes.

After moving from our first house, which I had called #thecozycottage, to our new house in June 2025, which we are calling #thecoolcolonial, it was time for a name change. I’m officially saying goodbye to The 256 Project and this blog and associated social media pages are now called RAD Home & Interiors. RAD is, well, rad. It’s an acronym for the first names of my husband, child and me and it’s what my initials would have been if I had taken my husband’s last name when we got married. It also stands for Régine: Art and Design, which better reflects my interests.
